Inter-Library Loan Book Request

The Library offers NO rush services. You will need to make your "needed by" date at least 3 weeks in the future or you may cause a computer controlled delay in the delivery of your request. Most books are received within 10 days of the date of your request. Requests must be for items needed for work or study at UCSF and not owned by the Library. There is no charge for books obtained from another UC campus. If your request requires a search outside the UC system, we will respond with further instructions. Items borrowed from non-UC libraries average $15 per book loan. When you receive a notice that your book has arrived, please come to the Library Circulation Desk, 3rd floor. Loan periods vary. Generally books may be kept 2-4 weeks. Other libraries may recall interlibrary loan materials at any time.
